I Pink Therefore I Am

Welcome to the Lazy Pig website. It’s my fun new place for writing but I’m not sure what I’m going to write yet, not exactly.

If you’re wondering if I’m the lazy pig in question, you may not be wrong, but don’t assume you’re right either. Don’t assume ANYTHING.

Lazy, moi?

I’m not really lazy, of course*, nor do I expect many lazy pigs to snuffle my scratchings. Not that I’m not lazy either. “Lazy” is a judgemental subjective adjective, and I have no idea what your personal definition of it is. So, you decide what it means, as you should with absolutely everything I write.

I just string words and sometimes other odd and ends together and see what it looks like. If I knew what LazyPig.com was going to look like after a month or a year, or even by the end of this first piece, I’d probably get bored and go and create something else, but I don’t so here I am for now.

Categories, schmategories…

Before having written a single “bite”, I’m dividing them in my head into four categories. Why four? Well, you know that little ‘2’ you put up next to a number to say you square it? I quite like it. I’ve used it for years for my Infinity² puzzle-paintings but I’m not going to call this Lazy Pig² or anything pathetic like that. But the fact that 2² = 4 seems a good enough reason to have four categories as any. Plus, they fit nicely on the home page.

Dividing our lives into categories is a joke, of course*, but life coaches have been having fun doing it for years with their funky little Wheel of Life “tool” – heck, I’ve even created my own in my time – so let’s roll with it. Categories schmategories… here’s four for ya:

* You should, of course*, be extremely wary of anyone who uses the words “of course”. What they are really saying is, “Please, for pity’s sake, say you agree with me, I so desperately want someone to…”
